We have been lucky to live in a School district that has been awarded a grant by the Beverly Sorensen Art Foundation. What the grant is, is that it provides Dance/Art programs for our school. Our school has its own Dance Specialist who teaches all of the classes in each grade a dance during the year. Kaleb has been able to be involved in this Dance Program and has been able to learn some really fun dances for the past 3 years. This year, Kaleb's class learned the Virginia Reel- a square dance. The kids all dressed up and performed the dance that they have been learning for the past several months for the parents tonight. It was so fun to watch Kaleb and his classmates showcase what they have learned. The dance looked like a lot of fun! Kaleb said he had a fun time and enjoyed dancing with his friends in his class. I am sure grateful that we live in an area that provides so many opportunities for my son and daughter. I wasn't able to catch any pictures of the actual dance but I did manage to get a picture of Kaleb and his friend Zach Edwards after their performance (Shown Above).
Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what!

Valentine's Day Fun
This was the first year that Karmindy really understood what Valentines Day was all about. On Valentines Day at Preschool, each child made their own Mail truck to hold all their Valentines from their classmates. This year Karmindy gave her friends a LaLaLoopsey Valentine with a small
container of bubbles. She was so excited to pass out her Valentines to her preschool friends.
After school, Karmindy was in Heaven and enjoyed coming home and showing me all her Valentines Day Loot. I was able to pick up her friend Emilia Pidcock that day too and both girls were so hyper from all the candy they had been eating and were so excited to show me their mail trucks. They were such Hams! Silly girls. I am so glad they had a Great Valentines Day!

Kaleb's Baptism
I can't believe the day has come for Kaleb to be baptized. The past 8 years have flown by. What wonderful years they have been. Kaleb has been such a wonderful son and he has taught me so much in the past eight years. What an honor it is to be his mom. Kaleb truly has such a great spirit and I am amazed at what a great spirit he is. He has always wanted to choose the right and has always been a wonderful example to us as his parents and to his little sister. Several months prior to Kaleb's eighth birthday we started focusing our family home evenings on baptism and preparing to make the choice to be baptized. When we would ask Kaleb what he would like to do he never hesitated and had such a great desire to be baptized. I am so proud of Kaleb's decision but would have been proud of him regardless.
Kaleb was Baptized on February 2nd 2013, Groundhogs day. Kaleb's special day was wonderful, he had many close friends and family in attendance on his special day to witness his baptism. As his parents, we gave him the opportunity to choose who he would like to speak at his baptism and he made the decision to have his Grandpa Craig DeMille to speak on Baptism and he also chose his cousin Roxanne Ball to speak on the Holy Ghost. Both Grandpa and Roxanne did a beautiful job in speaking and the Holy Ghost was felt so strong as they spoke. Kaleb also chose both of his Grandpas to be the witnesses as he was Baptized and what a wonderful thing that was to be able to know that both of his Grandpa's were able to be a witness to Kaleb's Baptism.
I am also grateful to Kaleb for being such a wonderful example to his little sister and showing her the right way to live and be happy. Kaleb we love you and are so proud of your decision. I hope Kaleb will always remember his special day and remember the importance of receiving the Holy Ghost and listening to its promptings. What a wonderful gift from our Heavenly Father!! I also hope that Kaleb will always have the desire to follow his Heavenly Father's Plan because it is truly the only way to live and be happy.
Kaleb we love you so much and hope you always know how very proud we are of you! Congratulations Sweet Boy!!

Karmindy was so excited for her brother to be Baptized.
Kaleb's Baptism took place only a week and a half after me having gall bladder surgery so I wasn't thinking clearly or feeling that great and in a rush to vacate the room for the next baptism I failed to get anymore pictures with his other set of Grandparents and his Aunts and Uncles. I have felt really bad about that. :( I hope he will forgive me for this.
